The court announced its interim decision on the 5th day of the trial regarding the assassination of former Ülkü Ocakları President Sinan Ateş in Ankara.

10 PEOPLE RELEASED

In the trial involving 22 detained defendants, the court decided to release Zekeriya Asarkaya, Hakan Saraç, Aytaç Ataç, Caner Günay, Umut Ersoy, Alper Atay, Mehmet Yüce, Erdem Karadeniz, Osman Bayraktar, and Ufuk Köktürk, taking into account the time they have spent in detention, while imposing a travel ban and judicial control measures.

The requests for release for defendants Eray Özyağcı, Vedat Balkaya, Suat Kurt, Doğukan Çep, Tolgahan Demirbaş, Aşkın Mert Gelenbey, Murat Can Çolak, Mustafa Uzunlar, Emre Yüksel, Mustafa Emsar Aykal, Çağlar Zorlu, and Serdar Öktem were denied, and it was decided that their detention would continue due to the nature of the crimes they are charged with and the strong suspicion of guilt shown by the current situation.

The court adjourned the hearing to July 19 for the Public Prosecutor to prepare their final opinion.
