Özel's 'Sinan Ateş' question to İzzet Ulvi Yönter: 'How and by whom were their names removed from the indictment?'

"NOT A LEGAL, BUT A POLITICAL DECISION"

There was a verdict hearing for a political case that has long occupied our country's politics and judiciary. A delegation of nearly 10 deputies from our party followed the verdict hearing of the Kobani case. We all witnessed together that not legal, but political decisions were made in the case where HDP co-chairs Selahattin Demirtaş and Figen Yüksekdağ were also being tried.

They were being held responsible for the murder of our 16-year-old child, Yasin Börü, who lost his life in those events. The trial was held and concluded. Neither Demirtaş nor anyone else was found to be connected to the death of Yasin Börü. None of them received sentences related to that process. They were sentenced for the tweets they posted and for expressions they used at other times.

"THE COURT PANEL GAVE A VERDICT THAT THE CONSTITUTIONAL COURT WOULD EASILY OVERTURN"

They gave very heavy sentences to Mr. Demirtaş, Yüksekdağ, and some others. These sentences are actually in line with Erdoğan's political directives. The court panel gave a verdict that Erdoğan wanted to see 'served,' handing down sentences based on speeches—a decision that the Court of Cassation or the Constitutional Court would easily overturn. They left the responsibility on the shoulders of politicians."

RESPONSE TO BAHÇELİ

Today, Mr. Bahçeli asked me 4 abnormal questions. I would be ashamed to read these 4 questions. These are not questions to be asked to the chairman of the CHP. I know who these questions are meant for, but I do not want to stoop to that level. Mr. Bahçeli turned and read from a teleprompter. I know who wrote that on the teleprompter. You know that famous duo. The duo that makes real MHP members' hair stand on end. The one who holds a glass in one hand and posts tweets at night, saying 'I am the specialist sergeant of the Parliament'... Those two wrote 4 questions on the teleprompter. I won't read those 4 questions, but let the people who wrote these questions for you answer these 4 questions first.

- How and by whom were the names of these 2 people removed from the Sinan Ateş indictment?

- Who are the two people who said that no one should post tweets or express condolences after the death of someone who served as the President of the Ülkü Ocakları?

- After the photos of the vehicle that helped the hitman escape emerged, which two people ensured that this vehicle was granted a status that would exempt it from traffic fines?

- While casting a fog over the Sinan Ateş case, what is the share of these two in this fog?

9TH JUDICIAL PACKAGE

Now the 9th Judicial Package is coming. They have started to defend what they did when they withdrew from the Istanbul Convention in one night. Now, one of the most important articles of that law is opening the way to object to the removal of those who commit violence against their spouses or women, and to the coercive imprisonment. Women's organizations were warning that it would hollow out Law No. 6284, and now they are introducing an objection mechanism aimed at removing coercive imprisonment.

The second issue is that there is a Constitutional Court ruling. A woman can use her maiden name if she wishes. Instead of regulating that, they have introduced a legal article that prohibits it. They are trying to bypass Article 153 of the Constitution. As the CHP, we advocate for a woman to use her husband's surname after marriage, her previous surname, or both, if she wishes. We will stand behind this struggle."

ATA EMRE AKMAN MURDER

Ata Emre Akman was working as a motorcycle courier. A vehicle cut him off, and he lost his life after being stabbed 23 times. I called his father, Colonel Erol Akman. He says, 'My child is gone. Please, all politicians, do something about this; I am burning, let no other fathers burn.' We need to listen to the voice of the Courier Rights Association. They say; because a professional qualification certificate is not required, anyone who gets on a motorcycle is a courier... Measures must be taken regarding this. Those people who pass by us in traffic every day, whom we get annoyed with when our orders are late, are actually hanging onto life by a thread.

INFLATION PROBLEM

The inflation target in the Medium-Term Program (OVP) was 33 percent for this year, now they have revised it to 38. As they fail to fight inflation, instead of bringing a smile to the faces of low-income earners, they continue to make them tighten their belts and continue to make the retirees miserable. They are dealing with the civil servants' shuttle service, they consider not appointing teachers a skill... On the other hand, they raised prices on bridges and highways last week."
