The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry has been sharing with the public the names of businesses that endanger public health under the headings of "Imitation and Adulterated Foods" and "Foods That Endanger Health" since October 1.
While imitation and adulteration have been detected in many businesses, from famous hamburger chains to cheese producers, Köfteci Yusuf, which has hundreds of stores, has also been added to the list.
Köfteci Yusuf, in which pork was detected in product samples taken from its branches in Ankara, argued in a statement that its products are halal-certified, that the products in question were not produced in its own branches, and that many technical errors were made during the sampling process.
However, in the new "Foods That Endanger Health" list published by the Ministry today, it was announced that pork was also detected in samples taken from Köfteci Yusuf's Bursa branches.
STATEMENT FROM KÖFTECİ YUSUF NOT DELAYED
In the first statement made by Köfteci Yusuf today, the phrases "We are striving with all our strength and belief to uncover this dark conspiracy" were used.
