First statement from Köfteci Yusuf after pork was found in analysis results: They blamed the Ministry

According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry's inspection and analysis report, pork was detected in samples taken from Köfteci Yusuf on February 27 and March 7. A statement regarding the matter has been issued by Köfteci Yusuf.

In the statement made by Köfteci Yusuf, it was claimed that the allegations do not reflect the truth. According to the company's statement, "A doner sample was taken from a branch in Çankaya, Ankara on February 15, 2024, and the results were released on February 27. Similarly, a meatball sample was taken from a branch in Etimesgut on February 29, and the analysis results were announced on March 7." However, it was noted that no witness samples were taken from either raw or cooked products in both procedures, and it was stated, "A gene test yields the same result in both raw and cooked products. They could have left us a witness sample from the raw product as well."

WE WERE NOTIFIED LATE

Köfteci Yusuf stated that the negative analysis results were notified to them late in a manner contrary to procedure, adding, "We were informed of the first analysis result on March 18, 2024. If it had been reported in a timely manner, all processes, including camera recordings, could have been checked. However, due to the late notification, traceability could not be ensured and camera recordings could not be accessed."

NO NEGATIVE FINDINGS AT PRODUCTION FACILITIES

Emphasizing that no negative results were encountered during inspections conducted at the production facilities by Provincial and District Directorates of Agriculture, the statement said, "Our facilities meet hygiene and compliance conditions." The company argued that the allegations do not reflect the material truth and that such a situation might have arisen due to malicious individuals or contamination during the gene test results.

WE ARE PURSUING THIS DARK CONSPIRACY

Stating that the legal process is ongoing, Köfteci Yusuf gave the following message to its customers, suppliers, and employees: "We are working with all our might to uncover this dark conspiracy. We ask everyone following the matter to support the clarification of this process."

The company stated that a sample taken from the same batch by the prosecutor's office did not yield a negative result, and noted that no negative situation had been encountered in official inspections conducted to date.
