The National Intelligence Organization (MIT) has neutralized Gülistan Tekik, a member of the PKK/KCK's so-called Science and Enlightenment Committee known by the codename Pelin Batman, in a pinpoint operation carried out in the city of Sulaymaniyah, Iraq.
Tekik had previously operated in rural areas as an armed militant, and a fake identity had been arranged for her by the PKK terrorist organization under the special instructions of Murat Karayılan.
Gülistan Tekik, who conducted the organization's propaganda and disinformation activities in Sulaymaniyah with the support of the PUK, was also tasked with spreading the organization's ideology and increasing recruitment.
Continuing her activities under a fake identity to avoid detection, Tekik was also the so-called supervisor of other cells in Sulaymaniyah.
After receiving intelligence that Tekik had been stationed in Sulaymaniyah, MIT tracked her step by step and determined the most appropriate time for the operation. As a result of the successful operation, Gülistan Tekik was neutralized.
