'Narkoçelik' operations in 44 provinces: 470 kg of narcotics seized
Simultaneous raids were carried out in 44 provinces as part of the "NARKOÇELİK-39" operations announced by Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya. During the operations, 470 kg of narcotics and 4.9 million drug pills were seized, and 293 people were detained.

Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya announced that the "NARKOÇELİK-39" operations targeting drug manufacturers and street dealers were carried out simultaneously in 44 provinces.
Yerlikaya stated that as a result of the operations, 470 kg of narcotics and 4 million 945 thousand 832 drug pills were seized. Minister Yerlikaya emphasized that the operations would continue without interruption, stating, "I want our dear nation to know that we are determined to cleanse our country of poison dealers and street dealers."
The operations, coordinated by the General Directorate of Security's Department of Anti-Narcotic Crimes, involved 681 teams and 1 thousand 876 personnel. Significant quantities of narcotics were seized in raids conducted in many provinces, primarily in Istanbul, Izmir, Ankara, Gaziantep, and Antalya.
In Istanbul, 4 million 565 thousand drug pills and 14 pill-pressing machines were seized, while 262 kg of methamphetamine were found in Mersin and 124 kg of methamphetamine in Gaziantep. In Antalya, 8 kg of cannabis were seized. A total of 293 people were detained as a result of the operations.
Yerlikaya noted that the operations would continue and that the fight against drugs would be maintained with determination.
