It has been learned that the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has issued arrest warrants for 6 individuals within the scope of the illegal betting investigation.

NAMES FOR WHOM ARREST WARRANTS WERE ISSUED

The names for whom arrest warrants were issued are as follows:

- Social media influencer Aydoğan Duru

- Ramiz Nurçin

- Umut Karahan

- Batuhan Kesgin

- Cenk Pekkan

- Ünal Orhan

It has been learned that Cenk Pekkan and Ünal Orhan, for whom arrest warrants were issued, are abroad.

Upon the request of the prosecutor's office, the court also imposed access bans on the social media accounts of former football player Batuhan Karadeniz, Aydoğan Duru, Ramiz Nurçin, Umut Karahan, and Batuhan Kesgin.

WHAT HAPPENED?

The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office had previously issued detention orders for 23 suspects, including social media influencers and several famous names, as part of an investigation into allegations of encouraging illegal betting.

It was determined that among the suspects alleged to have appeared in illegal betting advertisements in the investigation were singer Serdar Ortaç, presenter Mehmet Ali Erbil, former football player Batuhan Karadeniz, social media influencers İbrahim Yılmaz, Muzaffer Zorbey Erkoçkar, Sefa Caner Sarıçam, and Russian and Turkish citizen Aleksander Mensikof.

In the operation conducted by the Istanbul Police Department, 16 of the suspects, including Mehmet Ali Erbil and Serdar Ortaç, were detained; it was learned that 5 of the suspects were abroad and efforts were ongoing to locate the other 2.

Following their procedures at the police station, Serdar Ortaç and Mehmet Ali Erbil were placed under house arrest as a judicial control measure, 12 suspects including Sefa Caner Sarıçam, Esma Sözen, Muzaffer Zorbey Erkoçkar, and İbrahim Yılmaz were arrested, and it was decided that 2 suspects would be released under judicial control conditions.
