New development in the Narin Güran murder case: Evidence found in the suspect's home

Diyarbakır—A piece of evidence that could corroborate the prosecutor's statement has been found in the home of Nevzat Bahtiyar, who confessed to burying the lifeless body of 8-year-old Narin Güran in a sack under a stream.

The investigation conducted by the Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into the murder of Narin Güran, who went missing on August 21 in the Tavşantepe neighborhood of the central Bağlar district and whose body was found in the Eğertutmaz Stream on September 8, is ongoing.

According to a report in the newspaper Sabah, which is known for its proximity to the government, teams have reached another piece of evidence that has recently been added to the investigation file. Following the statements of Nevzat Bahtiyar, who told gendarmerie teams that he had placed Narin's body in a sack before taking it to the Eğertutmaz Stream to bury it, a detailed search was conducted at his home.

During the search of Bahtiyar's home, gendarmerie teams found unused sacks with serial numbers consecutive to the one used to transport Narin.

2 MORE SUSPECTS DETAINED

Meanwhile, 2 more suspects have been detained as part of the investigation into the murder of Narin Güran.

Within the scope of the investigation, I.K. and Ş.K., who are understood to be relatives of Narin, were taken into custody.

In the investigation into Güran's murder, 11 suspects, including her mother Yüksel Güran and brother Enes Güran, had previously been arrested.

The gendarmerie's processing of the 2 suspects, as well as Hediye Güran—the wife of the arrested uncle Fuat Güran, who was detained on September 13—is ongoing.
