The Democratic People's Republic of Korea's (DPRK) official Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) has issued a statement regarding the situation in the Middle East.

The statement noted that following the outbreak of the conflict, 'the US immediately began supporting Israel with aid and weapons,' and argued that 'the tragedy in the region is entirely caused by the US.'

The statement pointed out that US President Joe Biden 'traveled to Israel to support the war,' and also highlighted the US veto of a UN Security Council (UNSC) draft resolution calling for a 'pause' in hostilities to provide humanitarian aid to Gaza.

The statement, which noted that the US blames Palestine for the crisis in the Middle East by labeling it an 'aggressor,' used the phrase, “The international community must closely monitor the actions of the US and firmly condemn and reject this dangerous and foolish initiative.”

The statement further alleged that the crisis in the Middle East has escalated due to the 'deliberate provocations' of the US.
