Number of regular migrants in Turkey announced: Approaching 5 million

According to official figures announced by Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya, the number of foreign migrants in Turkey is approaching 5 million. More than 3 million 700 thousand of the total number of migrants consist of Syrian migrants.

According to the data shared by Yerlikaya;

• The total number of regular migrants is 4 million 744 thousand 622.

• 3 million 374 thousand 53 are Syrian.

• 1 million 150 thousand 386 have residence permits.

• 112 thousand 404 irregular migrants were apprehended in three months. 80 thousand 496 people were prevented from entering the border.
