With the support of Koç Holding and the Vehbi Koç Foundation, the opening of the exhibition titled "Elegance from Past to Future: Women's Attire from the Late Ottoman Empire to the Early Years of the Republic," organized by the Sadberk Hanım Museum at the Abdülmecid Efendi Pavilion, was held, followed by a Republic Ball.

''IT IS A MIRACLE CREATED BY MUSTAFA KEMAL''

According to Patronlar Dünyası, speaking at the opening, Koç Holding Chairman Ömer M. Koç stated that he is experiencing the deep joy and pride of the 100th anniversary of the Republic, saying, "As we leave a century behind, we must remember that the Republic is not just a form of government, but a symbol of a historical transformation that carried a nation exhausted by years of war into a civilized and modern future, and changed the ill-fated destiny of our country. The Republic is a miracle created 100 years ago with perseverance and determination by a genius whose name was Mustafa Kemal, which very few people could have imagined at the time."

''IT IS THE VOICE OF THE VOICELESS''

Koç stated, ''The Republic means raising a world-class scientist from one of our remote villages, and providing the environment and opportunities necessary for a child who started life with misfortune to achieve international success. And above all, it is the voice of the voiceless," and continued his words as follows:

"It is our primary duty to preserve and defend this sacred work and legacy of our Ancestor. With our love and devotion to our homeland, we will continue to serve our country and to keep our Republic and its values alive and protected under all circumstances with the same determination. No democracy that does not take secularism as its foundation can be considered a democracy in the true sense. The path drawn by the great Atatürk for Turkey is still the only valid path, because it is the path of reason and science.

'For everything in the world; for civilization, for life, for success, the truest guide is knowledge and science. Seeking a guide other than knowledge and science is negligence, ignorance, and error.' Acting on this maxim of Atatürk, we will continue to work with determination in the second century of the Republic without deviating from this direction. Happy 100th anniversary of our Republic! Long live Atatürk and the noble values he represents! Long live the secular, democratic, and modern Republic!"
