According to the statement on the Ministry's website, with the approval of the Ministry, the General Directorate of the Mint and Stamp Printing House has minted a 5 Turkish Lira commemorative circulation coin for the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Republic.

100 MILLION PIECES MINTED

The "5 Turkish Lira" commemorative coins, which will be put into circulation tomorrow, have been minted in a quantity of 100 million pieces as a one-time issuance.

The "Century of Türkiye" logo was used in the inner core of the 100th-anniversary themed "5 Turkish Lira" commemorative circulation coin. The number "5" appears above the logo, and the phrase "Turkish Lira" appears below it. Depth was added to the outer ring by using an eight-pointed "Seljuk star" motif and repeating the outlines of this motif.

The "?" symbol on the left and the "TC" symbol on the right of the Seljuk star on the outer ring were included as security features. The minting year "2023" is located at the bottom. The crescent and star were positioned at the intersection of the outer ring and the core. The coin was minted with a weight of 8.25 grams and a diameter of 28.15 millimeters.

The statement also included the following: "Our General Directorate announces the commemorative coins minted in memory of special days one day before the special days."
