Russia announces it has struck Ukraine's airport infrastructure
The Russian Ministry of Defense stated that they struck Ukraine's airport infrastructure with high-precision weapons and UAVs.

The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that they carried out an attack on Ukraine's airport infrastructure using long-range high-precision weapons and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
The statement from the ministry included information regarding the activities of Russian military forces in the Russia-Ukraine War.
Noting that the Russian army continues its attacks on Ukraine, the statement said, "Overnight, the Russian Armed Forces carried out a group strike on elements of Ukraine's critical airport infrastructure using long-range high-precision air-launched weapons, including hypersonic 'Kinzhal' missiles, and UAVs. All designated targets were hit."
The statement, which reported that 142 areas where Ukrainian military units and military equipment were located were bombed with UAVs, artillery, and rocket fire, noted the following:
"Since the beginning of the military operation, 640 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 30,564 UAVs, 575 air defense missile systems, 17,586 tanks and armored vehicles, 1,425 multiple launch rocket systems, 13,690 howitzers and mortars, and 25,262 special military vehicles belonging to the Ukrainian army have been destroyed."
CLASHES CONTINUE IN KURSK
The ministry's statement also mentioned that clashes between the Russian and Ukrainian armies continue in the Kursk region, using the phrase, "The Ukrainian army has lost nearly 400 soldiers and 30 armored vehicles in the last 24 hours."
The statement recorded that since August 6, the Ukrainian army has lost "6,600 soldiers and 73 tanks, 34 infantry fighting vehicles, 62 armored personnel carriers, and 432 armored vehicles" in the Kursk direction.
ATTEMPTED ATTACK WITH 5 UAVS
The statement also reported that Ukraine attempted to attack elements on Russian territory overnight and that 5 UAVs were destroyed.
Stating that the attack was thwarted, the statement included the phrase, "3 UAVs in the Belgorod region and 3 UAVs in the Kursk region were destroyed by Russian air defense systems."
