Scandalous document sent by the Ministry regarding daycare centers revealed

The Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change had sent a warning letter to municipalities and the governorships of all 81 provinces regarding the daycare centers operated by municipalities. This decision received a very harsh response from CHP officials.

CHP Party Spokesperson and İzmir Deputy Deniz Yücel, in a social media statement regarding the issue, criticized Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin and made the following remarks: 

"YOU ARE AN ENEMY TO EVERYTHING THAT IS BEAUTIFUL"

"The cult-loving individual, who tries to alienate our children—our most valuable assets—from secular and scientific education, who cannot even manage to clean schools, and who begrudges our children a single meal, is now obsessed with blocking the project that the CHP cares about the most. Yusuf Tekin, who is a national security issue, wants to close the daycare centers opened by CHP municipalities and prevent the opening of new ones. Listen here, you insolent man, those daycare centers are the saviors of working parents. In those daycare centers, children receive education at very affordable prices. In those daycare centers, our children can eat at least one meal in a hygienic environment.

You erect model graves in classrooms with the ÇEDES imposition and make them mourn, while we teach children to laugh, to sing, and to love life. You make students clean the graves of traitors to the homeland, while we teach them to protect the environment. You try to imprison children in the darkness of the Middle Ages, while we teach them about Atatürk and the values of the Republic. Because you are an enemy to enlightenment, art, science, virtue, honor, courage, hope, flowing water, a tree in its fruit-bearing age, and everything that is beautiful. You are an enemy of this nation and of modern Turkey."

ANOTHER REACTION CAME FROM ÖZEL 

CHP Chairman Özgür Özel, regarding the warning letter sent by the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change to municipalities about daycare centers, stated: “AK Party's Ankara candidate Turgut Altınok promised 100 daycare centers. İzmir candidate Hamza Dağ promised mothers in İzmir that he would open 100 daycare centers, and finally, the Minister of Urbanization Murat Kurum, who sent us the letter, promised one daycare center in every neighborhood of Istanbul when he was the Istanbul candidate. Now I ask Murat Kurum, Hamza Dağ, and Turgut Altınok; you would have opened daycare centers if you had won, we won, we had already opened those daycare centers, we did even more. Now yours say, 'Let's close them, so the votes go away from CHP.' Is this reason, is this conscience, is this honor, is this politics? May your politics be damned. We will resist this unlawful decision. We will fight against this. But our nation sees most closely what state they are in and what kind of desperation they are in,” he said.
