Ömer Zengin, a friend of the murdered former Idealist Hearths (Ülkü Ocakları) President Sinan Ateş, has shared on social media the testimony he provided regarding the Ateş murder.
In his post, Zengin stated, "The justice(!) that brought us from Berlin to Ankara with a single phone call somehow cannot bring the FETÖ members who killed the Idealist in Ankara to its feet!"
Zengin's testimony includes his belief that hostility toward Ateş began after Olcay Kılavuz was removed from his post and Ateş was appointed to the position with the reference of Akın Yavuz, the deputy chief of the party's private office.
In his testimony, Zengin stated that he met with Ateş frequently and that Ateş had told him there were efforts underway to have him removed from his position.
"I HAVE NO ACQUAINTANCE"
In the testimony that Ömer Zengin also shared on his X account, it was noted that he was certain the Sinan Ateş assassination was organized by İzzet Ulvi Yönter, Olcay Kılavuz, and Nevzat Ünlütürk under the leadership of Ahmet Yiğit Yıldırım, and that he claimed the murder was being framed on Ömer Lefzan due to a long-standing feud between Yıldırım and Lefzan.
Ömer Zengin's testimony also included his statement that Ateş had no acquaintance or hostility toward Doğukan Çep. At the end of his testimony, Zengin also mentioned that he sees his daughter whenever he travels to and from Turkey.
