Sinan Oğan moves into the luxury building vacated by the Homeland Party

Sinan Oğan, who joined the People's Alliance in the final stretch of the May elections, is expanding his 'operations.' According to a report by HalkTV, Oğan has moved the headquarters of the Turkey Alliance Party (Türkiye İttifakı Partisi) into the luxury building that the Homeland Party abandoned for 'cost-cutting' reasons. This new center in Ankara's Yukarı Öveçler neighborhood is raising eyebrows with an average annual rent of 2.5 million lira.

The new headquarters building is located in Ankara's Yukarı Öveçler neighborhood and consists of 4 floors. The building will be used jointly by the Turkey Center for Strategic Analyses (TÜRKSAM), chaired by Sinan Oğan, and the Turkey Alliance Party. The building is being turned into a key hub in line with Oğan's political strategies and plans. According to a report by Veryansın TV, the building's average annual rent is stated to be 2.5 million lira, excluding taxes. This amount raises questions about the financial plan the Turkey Alliance Party, the new tenant of the building vacated by the Homeland Party for savings, will use to cover this burden.

Although Sinan Oğan stated during the election campaign that he was living on his pension, he frequently made headlines after the election with property purchases totaling approximately 120 million lira. The Homeland Party announced in a statement on May 17, 2024, that it was vacating its headquarters in Çankaya, Ankara, and moving to the Etimesgut district of Ankara in order to save on party expenses.
