Köfteci Yusuf, which was identified by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry as having used pork in its products, continues to remain a hot topic on the agenda.

CHP Uşak Mayor Özkan Yalım made statements regarding Köfteci Yusuf, whose products were recently found by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry to contain pork.

Yalım defended Köfteci Yusuf, claiming that a lynching and smear campaign is being waged against the business owner, Yusuf Akkaş.

'LET US NOT PLAY INTO THE HANDS OF GLOBAL FAST-FOOD FIRMS'

In his statement, Yalım said, "The attacks on Yusuf Akkaş are nothing more than playing into the hands of global fast-food firms. Doing business in Turkey, growing, and providing a livelihood for a staff of 12 thousand people should not be this difficult. Obstacles must be removed and justice must be served as soon as possible."

LET US PROTECT OUR NATIONAL ENTREPRENEURS

Yalım added, "We need to protect our national entrepreneurs. We must stand by our own national brands and support their growth. I know Yusuf Akkaş personally, and I believe this lynching campaign must end immediately."
