Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Mehmet Özhaseki was the first to announce that he had requested to be relieved of his duties through a statement he made on social media. 

In his statement, Özhaseki also expressed that he was leaving politics, stating implicitly, "In the coming period, I will continue to serve as my health permits in the family foundation we will establish. My support for every endeavor that is beneficial for my country will, of course, continue."

HOURS BEFORE THE RESIGNATION

A post made by Özhaseki just a few hours before his resignation drew attention. 

Mehmet Özhaseki attended the "Local Governments Consultation and Evaluation Meeting" with Erdoğan during the day yesterday.

Regarding the meeting, Özhaseki shared a message on his social media account saying, "Under the leadership of our President, we will continue to work for our country and our nation."

The fact that he made his resignation post 6 hours after his "We are working" message drew attention.
