Turkish Parliament delegation prepares to visit Gaza
Derya Yanık, Chair of the Turkish Parliament's Human Rights Investigation Commission, stated, "We have begun our efforts to visit the Gaza region of Palestine to examine the human rights violations occurring on-site."
The Turkish Parliament's Human Rights Investigation Commission met under the chairmanship of AKP Osmaniye Deputy Derya Yanık.
Speaking to journalists after the meeting, Yanık stated the following:
We have begun our efforts to visit the Gaza region of Palestine to examine the human rights violations occurring on-site. Turkey has been fulfilling its responsibilities at the highest level since day one in the areas of political, diplomatic, and humanitarian aid to stop the humanitarian tragedy arising from Israel's attacks, which contain brutality on the scale of genocide,” she said.

Stating that Israel is committing war crimes, Yanık included the following remarks:
''At this point, considering that the attacks undertaken by Israel are war crimes and genocide, and that they deeply wound the conscience of all humanity, we invite the world public, especially the United Nations, global non-governmental organizations working in the fields of human rights and democracy, all countries that claim to uphold human rights values, and in short, every institution and person with a voice and influence in this field, to take action to stop the Israeli brutality immediately. We believe that every diplomatic mechanism must be utilized to force Israel to declare a humanitarian ceasefire. We see that some media outlets, especially in the US and Europe, are violating all universal principles of journalism to legitimize Israeli brutality. We call on these media outlets to stand on the side of humanity. As the Human Rights Investigation Commission of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, we will continue to maintain our contacts with international organizations, primarily the UN Human Rights Committee, the UN Commission on the Status of Women, and UNICEF, to contribute to the establishment of security and a ceasefire in the region. We will continue to establish communication for joint action with the relevant committees and commissions of the European Parliament and the parliaments of countries that claim to uphold human rights, especially those in the region.
