It was alleged that Gülbin Tosun, the anchor of the NOW TV Main News Bulletin, was dismissed from her job due to a tweet she posted directed at Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş.
In her post, where she tagged Mayor Yavaş, Gülbin Tosun had stated: "Mayor, when you said 'There should be no dogs on the streets, we will take care of them,' were you referring to the living creatures you imprisoned and who don't even have water in front of them! What can I say, may you be in need of a glass of water then!"
PLACED ON MANDATORY LEAVE
Following this post, Tosun stated in a message on her social media account that she had been placed on mandatory leave and had not yet been dismissed. Emphasizing that she would not take a step back regarding animal rights, Tosun thanked her followers for their messages of support.
