Activist and model Melisa Aydınalp spotted in Beyoğlu this time: "I am not immoral, I will continue my protests"

Model Melisa Aydınalp, who walked on Istanbul's Bağdat Avenue with a sign reading "Freedom for Breasts," faced up to 1 year in prison for the crime of 'engaging in lewd acts.'

After being processed by the police and referred to the courthouse, Aydınalp was released with a travel ban.

'I WILL CALL FEMEN IF NECESSARY'

Carrying out a new protest amidst the surprised gazes of citizens, Aydınalp stated, "The female body should cease to be a taboo. No one should be judged in courts because of their choice of clothing. I will continue to hold protests regarding women's rights and freedoms. If necessary, I am thinking of calling FEMEN as well."

'I AM NOT ASHAMED OF MY STYLE OF DRESS'

Continuing her remarks, the famous activist and model said, "My purpose for being here today is for women to be free in their clothing and rights. I am a person who dresses in this manner in my own life. I am not ashamed of my style of dress. I am not immoral" she said.
