She walked on Bağdat Avenue with a 'freedom for breasts' banner: The requested sentence for Melisa Aydınalp has been determined

On Bağdat Avenue, the requested sentence has been determined for social media influencer Melisa Aydınalp, who walked in Suadiye on December 10, 2023, in a semi-nude state while carrying a banner that read, 'Freedom for breasts.' 

Following the spread of the incident on social media, the Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor's Office launched an investigation. 

Melisa Aydınalp, who was detained within the scope of the investigation, was referred to the courthouse after her procedures at the police station.

"I CONSTANTLY EXPERIENCE THE SAME THING"

In her statement, Aydınalp said, "I held a march to exercise my right to protest. Meanwhile, my friend filmed me. No part of my body was exposed. I did not engage in any indecent acts. Whenever I walk around in my normal clothes like this, I get detained. This situation also affects my education. I constantly experience the same thing." 

Aydınalp was released with a travel ban and judicial control conditions.

UP TO 1 YEAR IN PRISON REQUESTED

In the indictment prepared by the Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was requested that the suspect Melisa Aydınalp be sentenced to 6 months to 1 year in prison for the crime of "engaging in indecent acts." The indictment was accepted by the Anatolian Criminal Court of First Instance to which it was sent.

The trial of Melisa Aydınalp will begin in the coming days.
