Doğa Rutkay, daughter of master theater actor Aziz Rutkay, moved to Urla, İzmir last September with her husband Kerimcan Kamal and their twins Piraye and Rutkay Kerim.
The famous actress made statements about their new life.
'RATHER THAN GOING TO BEYOĞLU...'
Stating that they left Istanbul for their children, Rutkay said, "Actually, it took time for me to convince Kerimcan, otherwise I would have packed my bags and come long ago. We go up to the plateaus, we buy our own vegetables and fruits from the farmers here.
Before deciding what to cook today, we have to go to the field and harvest. Sitting on a broken chair in a ramshackle village makes me happier than taking my child and going to Beyoğlu. I am not resentful toward Istanbul, but this place is better for my children."
'THERE IS NO ICE CREAM SHOP IN URLA'
Giving signals that she will step into a new profession in Urla, Doğa Rutkay said, "The food that relaxes me the most is ice cream. Unfortunately, there is no good ice cream shop in Urla. I am thinking of getting into that business. I make very good ice cream. I am thinking of a side profession for myself. Good ice cream makers should call me."
