Thrilling the citizens who filled the square with a repertoire of upbeat songs, Sıla said, ''This evening, we have pledged to keep the republic alive forever as individuals with free minds and free consciences.''

As all of Istanbul's squares, roads, and the Bosphorus witnessed heavy crowds and enthusiasm during the 100th-anniversary celebrations, traffic came to a standstill. Sıla was brought from her home in Rumeli Hisarı to the Maltepe event area by IMM (Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality) police teams on motorcycles.
Sıla performed the folk song 'Neredesin Sen' by Neşet Ertaş on stage together with Edis.

INVITED TO THE STAGE

At the end of her own set, Sıla invited Zülfü Livaneli to the stage.
The enthusiastic crowd accompanied the two artists in their surprise duet of the song 'Sevda Değil'.
At the end of the magnificent celebration night, Edis, Kubat, Duman, and other artists joined Sıla and Livaneli on stage to perform the final song together with the audience.
