Famous actor Alec Baldwin challenges involuntary manslaughter charge

Cinematographer Halyna Hutchins lost her life after being struck by a bullet fired from a gun held by Alec Baldwin during the filming of the movie Rust.

Baldwin, who is charged with involuntary manslaughter, is challenging the accusations.

The individuals responsible for the tragic incident that occurred during the filming of the movie Rust, which made headlines not only in Hollywood but all over the world, have still not been fully clarified.

ACCUSED OF VIOLATING RULES

While Alec Baldwin was charged with involuntary manslaughter in recent days, his lawyers described the accusation as an abuse of the system and accused the prosecutors of violating almost every rule.

The lawyers requested that the judge dismiss the involuntary manslaughter charge against the actor.

The allegations also included that state prosecutors violated court orders by providing information to the media.

Baldwin's lawyers said "Enough is enough" and continued their remarks as follows:

“This is an abuse of the system. The court must dismiss the indictment."

'WILL STAND TRIAL'

Baldwin was re-charged with involuntary manslaughter in January of this year and will stand trial in Santa Fe, New Mexico, in July.

Additionally, in recent weeks, Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, who was responsible for the weapons on the set of Rust, was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter following a two-week trial.
