Filming permits had been revoked: New locations for the series 'Kızıl Goncalar' revealed

The filming of the series 'Kızıl Goncalar,' which has been criticized by certain religious communities since it began airing and was issued a 2-week broadcast suspension and a 9 million TL administrative fine by RTÜK, continues.
A ban was also placed on the use of two locations belonging to the Ministry of Family and Social Services and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, which had been rented and decorated for the series months ago.
The production company, Gold Film, built the new locations for the series from scratch at the Beykoz Kundura Factory.
Art director Erol Taştan and his team prepared the majority of the sets in 10 days. Filming has begun in the section used by women in the dervish lodge scenes.
The section belonging to the men will also be completed shortly.

WHAT IS THE PLOT OF KIZIL GONCALAR?
Kızıl Goncalar follows the intersecting fates of Levent (Özcan Deniz), a secular Kemalist, and Meryem (Özgü Namal), who lives within a conservative religious sect, while highlighting the unifying power of motherhood/fatherhood when it comes to a "child," despite differences in belief and opinion.
The production of Kızıl Goncalar is undertaken by Faruk Turgut, while the screenplay is written by Şükrü Necati Şahin. The series stars Özcan Deniz and Özgü Namal.
