In a statement made via his social media account, Tanış referred to Law No. 6284, stating, "My silence is not an admission, but out of respect for the existence of the law."

The full statement made by Fırat Tanış is as follows:

"I am aware that the power of Law No. 6284, which I have defended for years, and the organization of society based on a woman's statement, will be for the benefit of everyone, including my own daughter, in the coming years.

For this reason, I do not think it is appropriate to make a statement. However, I want it to be known that my silence is not an admission, but out of respect for the existence of the law.
