Funeral arrangements for Yılmaz Atadeniz announced
Yılmaz Atadeniz, one of the master directors of Yeşilçam, has passed away at the age of 91. The funeral arrangements for Atadeniz have been announced.

'Dağların Oğlu', 'Kahreden Kurşun', 'Kan Gövdeyi Götürdü', 'Aslanların Dönüşü', 'Çirkin Kral' and 'Silahların Kanunu', among other unforgettable films, were directed by Yılmaz Atadeniz, who has passed away at the age of 91.
Atadeniz was admitted to Sarıyer Eftal Hospital a week ago after being diagnosed with Covid-19 and was placed in intensive care due to a lung infection.
Announcing the sad news, actor Zafer Algöz said, "We have lost our dear Yılmaz Atadeniz, a director who left his mark on interesting films in Yeşilçam. May he rest in peace."
Yılmaz Atadeniz's funeral will be held today following a ceremony at Bebek Mosque, after which he will be laid to rest at Aşiyan Cemetery.
WHO IS YILMAZ ATADENİZ?
Yılmaz Atadeniz was born on February 1, 1932, in Istanbul.
He was a graduate of Kabataş High School. Following the sudden death of his brother Orhan Atadeniz, who was an editor and film director, he began working at Erman Film Studio. He was a founding member of various associations and unions in the cinema industry.
He was a founder of the Sine-Sen (Sine-Kamder) association and served as its president for two terms; he had been a member of the Board of Directors of the Film Producers Association since 1988. He served as Jury President at the 2nd Ankara Film Festival in 1989 and the Golden Boll Film Festival in 1992.
In January 2007, he became the Chairman of the Board of Directors of SE-SAM (Turkish Cinema Works Owners Professional Union), a position he continued to hold as of 2020.
He received Honorary Awards at the 45th Antalya Film Festival in 2008 and at Konya Selçuk University in 2012.
