Dilan Polat and Engin Polat, who frequently made headlines with their luxurious lifestyles and whose source of income was a subject of curiosity, were taken into custody on November 1.

The couple, who were under investigation for money laundering, tax evasion, and forming a criminal organization, were arrested and sent to prison on November 5.

A new development has emerged regarding the businesses owned by Dilan Polat, which has more than 70 beauty centers across Turkey.

According to information obtained, it is alleged that Polat's beauty centers are not answering customer calls and are not accepting new appointment requests.

WHAT ARE DİLAN POLAT AND ENGİN POLAT ACCUSED OF?

The Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor's Office launched an investigation on November 5, 2023, into suspects including Dilan Polat and Engin Polat on charges of forming an organization for the purpose of committing crimes, money laundering, and violating tax laws.

A preliminary report was prepared by the Financial Crimes Investigation Board (MASAK) regarding the digital materials and ledgers seized during searches of their companies.

According to the report, 200 million Turkish Lira in funds were detected entering companies belonging to family members through the method of issuing fake invoices from three companies currently in liquidation.
