New development in the fatal set shooting trial of Alec Baldwin: Crew member found guilty

The 26-year-old Reed was sent directly to prison for "involuntary manslaughter." It was stated that Reed will serve 18 months in prison and pay a 5 thousand dollar fine. In court, it was stated that Reed was "negligent, careless, and thoughtless."
'REED IS A SCAPEGOAT, BALDWIN IS THE REAL RESPONSIBLE PARTY'
Reed's lawyers argued that Reed was a scapegoat and that Baldwin was the person truly responsible.
Hannah Gutierrez-Reed was the one tried in connection with the "fatal accident." In addition to the "manslaughter" charge, Reed had also faced a charge of tampering with evidence.
BEING TRIED FOR INVOLUNTARY MANSLAUGHTER FOR THE SECOND TIME
According to the report by Artı Gerçek; actor Alec Baldwin, who caused the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins when the gun he was using on the set of the film Rust, in which he starred, discharged, is being tried again for involuntary manslaughter after the charges against him were dropped last April.
A New Mexico grand jury indicted the actor again for involuntary manslaughter due to the "fatal shooting accident" that occurred on the film set in October 2021.
Previous charges against the Emmy-winning actor were dropped last April, just two weeks before the criminal trial was set to begin, but state prosecutors have since shared "additional findings" from forensic tests conducted on the weapon used in the incident and concluded that the incident occurred because the trigger was pulled.
IF FOUND GUILTY, HE WILL FACE AN 18-MONTH PRISON SENTENCE
Alec Baldwin will appear in court this coming July. The trial for the tragic accident on the set of the film Rust will be heard on July 9. The trial is expected to last 9 days.
The single-count indictment was prepared based on two alternative legal theories: that Baldwin was negligent in his use of a firearm or that he acted with "total disregard or indifference for the safety of others."
In their statements regarding the matter, prosecutors noted that Baldwin could only be convicted of one of these theories, not both.
If found guilty, the actor will face up to 18 months in prison.
WHAT HAPPENED?
Cinematographer Halyna Hutchins died in an accident that occurred on October 21, 2021, when a Colt .45 revolver that Baldwin was pointing at the camera on the set of the film 'Rust' discharged.
The 65-year-old actor Baldwin was being tried on two counts of "involuntary manslaughter" in connection with the death of Hutchins and the injury of the film's director, Joel Souza, after the bullet from the same weapon passed through Hutchins' body.
