Dilan Polat and Engin Polat, who have occupied the public agenda with allegations of money laundering and forgery of official documents, were detained along with 17 others from their addresses in Istanbul.

The suspects, apprehended by teams from the Istanbul Financial Crimes Investigation Branch, were brought to the Istanbul Police Department.

It was learned that the apprehended suspects are Dilan Polat, Engin Polat, Sinem Sıla Doğu, Attorney Ahmet Gün, Sezgin Polat, Alper Kürşat Polat, Yeşim Altınkalem Dalkıran, Zehra Yılmaz, Ceyda Nur Gün, Beyza Nur Gün, Zekayi Tepe, Halit Polat, Can Polat, Haydar Enes Çetinkaya, İlkan Kul, Buse Uzuner and Can Doğu.
It was determined that some of the suspects were abroad.

80 PAGES OF DOCUMENTS SEIZED

During searches conducted at the suspects' addresses, 80 pages of documents were seized from Dilan Polat's home. 10 thousand dollars, 1 computer, and 1 memory card were seized at the address of fugitive suspect Zümrüt Y.
In addition to 120 thousand TL found at the home of the Polat couple's lawyer, Ahmet Gün, a tablet and documents regarding account transactions were also seized.

It was learned that the detained Dilan Polat and Engin Polat are exercising their right to remain silent.

DETAILS OF THE RAID EMERGE

Meanwhile, details of the operation conducted against the Dilan and Engin Polat couple have emerged. Journalist Emrullah Erdinç explained the details of the raid on the Dilan-Engin Polat couple on the program 2.Sayfa.

Erdinç made the following statements:

"During the raid, the Polat couple's first and second-degree relatives also saw the police at their doors while they were sleeping in their beds at night. In fact, the decision for this raid on the Polat family was made by the Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor's Office yesterday evening at 17:00. However, the decision was kept secret until late at night.

'YELLOW ENVELOPES WERE GIVEN'

Yellow envelopes were given to the police officers who would take part in the operation, and they were told to open these envelopes at 03:00 at night. The 150 police officers involved in the operation were divided into 4 groups, and when they opened the envelopes, they found the home addresses of the Dilan Polat and Engin Polat couple and their relatives, as well as the court orders.

The police carried out simultaneous raids on the houses. Dilan Polat was caught by the police raid while sleeping at home, and Engin Polat was caught while he was awake.

The police told the couple they were under detention, first seized their mobile phones, and then asked them to get dressed."
