Hospital footage of Dilan and Engin Polat couple emerges

In Istanbul, Dilan Polat, her husband Engin Polat, and her sister Sıla Doğu, who were previously under investigation and whose companies had been searched, have been detained.

Sıla Doğu, Kürşat Polat, and Ahmet Gün, who were detained alongside the Polat couple, were taken to Bayrampaşa State Hospital for medical check-ups.

The following statement was issued by the Financial Crimes Investigation Branch:

"Under the coordination of the Istanbul Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, regarding the investigation into the POLAT family for organized crimes under VUK-213, TCK-204, and TCK-282;

In the MASAK preliminary report; it was determined that 200,000,000 TL entered the family members' companies from 3 companies in liquidation through the method of issuing fake invoices in exchange for fictitious trade, that the money in question was transferred between companies also owned by family members, and that it was ultimately collected in the company named Milda Gayrimenkul, owned by Engin POLAT, to purchase real estate and numerous vehicles.

In the simultaneous operation conducted on 01.11.2023 at 01:15 in 5 provinces centered in Istanbul (Ankara, Yalova, Ordu, Kırklareli, and Manisa) at a total of 43 addresses;

14 suspects, including Engin Polat, Dilan Polat, Sinem Sıla Doğu, Sezgin Polat, and Ahmet Gün, have been detained, and search and apprehension operations are ongoing."
