Journalist Murat Ağırel claimed, without naming names, that a former footballer and his influencer wife were involved in 'money laundering'.
Selin Ciğerci, who took Ağırel's claim personally, broke her silence.
SHE DISCLOSED THE TAXES SHE PAID
Denying the money laundering allegation in harsh terms, Ciğerci said, "If my name is involved in money laundering, let whoever is in charge of this case give me a life sentence. The tax I have paid in the last 5 years is more than 40 million TL."
'I WOULD HANG MYSELF IN TAKSIM SQUARE'
Continuing her remarks, Ciğerci denied the allegations, saying, "Even if my own brother did this, I would take him to the police station. I have no connection whatsoever to any money laundering incident. I only learned what it was because of this event. I built everything I have myself. If I have any involvement in money laundering, take me to Taksim Square. I will hang myself there. I have a 1-year-old daughter, and I am trying to build her future."
