The Dilan-Engin Polat couple, whose assets have been seized and who are subject to a travel ban, remains a hot topic on the agenda.

While the investigation into the matter continues, a decision was issued this morning by the Anatolia Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, upon the request of tax inspectors, to conduct searches at 15 companies belonging to the Polat couple.

It was learned that the decision in question was taken on the grounds of forgery of official documents, establishing an organization for the purpose of committing crimes, laundering assets derived from crime, and failure to comply with the Tax Procedure Law.

On the other hand, it was learned that the search warrant also covers the Polat couple's digital materials, and therefore the couple's phones will also be seized.

'THEY ARE TRYING TO SEIZE THE STAFF'S PHONES'

Making a statement in front of the Dilan Polat Ataşehir Polyclinic where the police are conducting the search, the couple's lawyer Vahit Kaya used striking expressions.

Stating that the Polat couple has 130 branches, Kaya said, "There is currently a publication ban and a confidentiality order. There is no detention order. The financial crimes unit just arrived and is trying to take some documents. As lawyers, we are assisting them. The Dilan-Engin Polat couple is not here. They are trying to seize the staff's phones here. You cannot seize the phones of hundreds of employees. There is tension inside. I have never seen such a system. Hundreds of people will go home, and they won't have their phones. They cannot talk to their mothers and fathers," he said.
