Singer Melike Şahin removed from Atatürk album
Singer Melike Şahin, who did not perform at a concert planned for teachers at the Istanbul Feshane citing wind as the reason and subsequently experienced tension with the IBB, has been removed from the album project titled 'Vasiyet' (Testament), which the production company owner Murat Yıldırım described as a tribute to Atatürk.

For teachers at the Istanbul Feshane singer, who did not perform at the planned concert at the last minute citing wind as the reason, Melike Şahin, from the album described as a tribute to Atatürk titled 'Vasiyet' was removed.
Speaking to Günaydın, production company owner Murat Yıldırım, "Someone who has no respect for teachers has no place on an Atatürk album" he stated.
WHAT HAPPENED?
The concert organized by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IBB), where singer Melike Şahin was set to perform for teachers, was cancelled.
In a statement on her Instagram account, Melike Şahin said, "I am very sad that our Feshane concert has been postponed. I swear I was ready and waiting until the last moment. It was very windy, and both the municipality and my team found it risky for our safety... Even though I missed my concerts so much and this evening was going to be special with our teachers, this disruption has nothing to do with me; I still apologize for the disappointment."
In a statement released by the IBB Department of Culture, it was noted that Şahin did not want to take the stage.
The statement read: "Dear teachers, despite all our efforts to explain for hours that there was no wind issue and all the assurances we provided, we were forced to postpone the concert because Melike Şahin's team could not be persuaded to take the stage. In line with your requests, we will be with you with another artist. We sincerely apologize to you."
