Damla Ersubaşı, who is remembered for her role as Tuğçe in the series Sihirli Annem, which aired between 2003 and 2012, confessed that she had used drugs for a period.
Ersubaşı stated, "For a period, I fell into drug use. I spent my husband's family's money on gambling. I took this money with various promises and I am currently paying it back. I gave up custody of the children, yet I still couldn't escape. If these children are left without a mother, the reason is Mustafa Can Keser."
Following the footage that became a trending topic on social media, Damla Ersubaşı made statements through her lawyer, Mehmet Kutlu.

The statement said, "My client was subjected to threats and psychological violence by her ex-husband during and after their marriage.
Afterwards, she inevitably reached a breaking point. The relevant video was leaked by Damla Ersubaşı's ex-husband, Mustafa Can Keser. Damla Ersubaşı was portrayed as if she were the guilty party. There is an attempt to discredit her in the public eye.
