The stars of Dune: Part Two, the highly anticipated sequel to the six-time Oscar-winning Dune, have answered questions about the film.

One of the film's leads, Timothée Chalamet, said that the sequel tells the story of the 'transformation' of the character Paul.

Dune, which received praise from critics and major industry figures from the moment it was released, will take audiences on an unforgettable journey with its impressive visuals in the sequel as well.

'WE WILL WITNESS PAUL'S TRANSFORMATION'

Stating that fans waiting for 60 years for Paul Atreides to fulfill his prophecy created pressure on them, Timothée Chalamet spoke about the second film in an interview:

"In the second film, we will witness Paul's transformation. The parts left unfinished in the first film are being connected. We see Paul move from the childlike figure in the first film, following the loss of his father, into the man he needs to be in the second film, whether he is ready or not. This is a huge pressure, but honestly, I love everything I am involved in. This might be the project I am most proud of for all the reasons."

'WE FELT WE WERE IN SAFE HANDS'

One of the film's leads, Zendaya, spoke about director Denis Villeneuve with high praise.

Stating that Villeneuve handled the romance between Paul and Chani very well in the film, Zendaya said, "It is very impressive that the film can cover so much content and find human moments that connect with the audience. Each character has their own story and moments. However, thanks to Denis Villeneuve, everything feels human in a way, no matter which planet it is on.

There is a difficult balance to maintain due to the high stakes and young romance, but Denis executes these very well. We wondered how he would make room for the romance between Paul and Chani amidst all this action. But Denis really loves this story so much. When I asked Denis about an issue I was worried about, we would realize that he had already thought about it 10 times and found the solution. This made us feel like we were in safe hands," she said.

'ONE OF THE MOST RESERVED CHARACTERS I HAVE PLAYED'

Florence Pugh, who plays Princess Irulan, the daughter of Emperor Shaddam, commented on the character she portrays:

"Princess Irulan finds herself in the middle of a struggle where different individuals are trying to control their power or protect their power. However, she maintains a balanced stance by observing her father and learning from him.

This role is different from the characters I usually play because, despite Irulan being intelligent, opinionated, and sensitive, she keeps her thoughts to herself. She is aware that she is trained to do this, and she constantly makes her moves based on strategies and calculations. However, she might be one of the most reserved characters I have ever played."
