Amputee footballer Barış Telli on the big screen with his inspiring life story: Trailer released

Amputee footballer Barış Telli, who has achieved championships, top-scorer titles, and athlete-of-the-year awards with the Amputee Football National Team, and whose life has been the subject of documentaries around the world, including in Japan, is soon meeting audiences on the big screen with his inspiring life story.

Produced by Medya Door Films, the film is directed by Ekin Pandır. Taner Ölmez brings Telli to life in the film.

Written by Caner Erzincan and Koray Yeltekin, the film covers the life of Barış, who was born in a modest neighborhood in Kırıkkale in 1989, and how it changed after a tragic accident he suffered at the age of 6 while trying to score a penalty kick during a neighborhood match.

After his leg became gangrenous following a minibus accident and had to be amputated, Barış began moving toward a completely different future, far from his dreams. However, he was discovered by Yılmaz Hoca during his primary school years and, with Yılmaz Hoca's guidance, became one of the first civilian footballers to be accepted into the Amputee National Team.

Running from success to success as an amputee footballer, Barış now steps up to the ball to finally score that penalty kick—the one he missed in his childhood that cost him his leg—and achieve his dream. He is now just one step away from his dream.

The film's music is composed by Fahir Atakoğlu, and the director of photography is Jean Paul Seresin.

'Hayatla Barış', which will touch hearts with its story full of hope and struggle, will be in theaters on February 23.
