Elazığ’s historic Hüseynik Kariyesi Mosque, located in one of the city's oldest neighborhoods, Hüseynik, features a 250-year-old minbar that remains remarkably intact to this day.
The minbar, which was revealed to have been built by Armenian craftsmen in the mid-1700s, has never undergone any repairs.
'IT HAS NEVER BEEN REPAIRED'
Mosque Association President Hakan Palutoğlu stated, “The minbar was added here later; it was made by Armenian craftsmen 250 years ago. Our imams climb this minbar to deliver the khutbah during Friday prayers. It has survived to the present day without ever needing repairs.”
