Bidder found for Diyanet Mosque in the capital: 254 million liras will be spent
There had been no bidders for the Diyanet Mosque planned for construction in Ankara's Kızılay district, despite three previous tenders. With a bidder finally emerging in the latest tender, it has been learned that 254 million liras will be spent on the mosque and parking garage.
The tender process for the Diyanet Mosque, which is planned to be built in Kızılay, the heart of Ankara, on land transferred to the Türkiye Diyanet Foundation, has concluded.
According to the report by Mustafa Bildircin from BirGün, a contract has been signed with a company named Gökalp Proje Müşavirlik within the scope of the fourth tender held for the mosque construction.
Ankara Metropolitan Municipality (ABB) issued a tender for the Diyanet Mosque and multi-story minibus parking garage on June 22, 2022. However, the tender was canceled because “no bidder submitted a valid offer.” The municipality decided to hold the tender once again on September 14, 2022. No valid offers were submitted for the tender held on September 14 either. It was reported that no bidders submitted offers for the third tender held for the Diyanet Mosque on December 21.
Following this, the ABB announced that it would hold another tender on May 24, 2023. The tender held on May 24 for the Diyanet Mosque and Multi-Story Parking Garage has now been concluded. The tender was won by Gökalp Proje Müşavirlik Anonim Şirketi, the owner of the only valid offer in the tender, for a price of 254 million 421 thousand 620 TL. The contract signed between the ABB and the company is dated July 24, 2023.
The mosque, which will be built on Necatibey Street in Kızılay for 254.4 million TL, will be able to accommodate 500 people for worship at the same time. There will be a multi-story minibus parking garage underneath the mosque. The project will also include a multi-purpose hall, a cafeteria, and retail areas.
