A decision has been made to continue the detention of 12 suspects, including influencer Dilan Polat and her husband Engin Polat, who were arrested as part of a money laundering investigation.
The Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor's Office had launched an investigation into the Polats on charges of establishing an organization for the purpose of committing crimes, preventing the laundering of proceeds of crime, laundering assets derived from crime, and violating tax laws.
The 12 suspects, including Dilan and Engin Polat, were arrested and sent to prison on November 5.
MONTHLY DETENTION REVIEW CONDUCTED
The monthly detention review was held at the 1st Criminal Court of Peace.
The 12 individuals, including Dilan and Engin Polat, testified by connecting via SEGBİS (Audio and Video Information System).
Announcing its decision, the court ruled for the continuation of the detention of the 12 individuals.

The Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor's Office launched an investigation on November 5, 2023, into suspects including Dilan Polat and Engin Polat on charges of establishing an organization for the purpose of committing crimes, money laundering, and violating tax laws.
A preliminary investigation report was prepared by the Financial Crimes Investigation Board (MASAK) regarding the digital materials and ledgers seized during searches of their companies.
According to the report, 200 million lira in funds were detected entering companies owned by family members through the method of issuing fake invoices from three companies currently in liquidation.
The trial of Dilan-Engin Polat and the 12 individuals accompanying them is ongoing.
