MUBI and Cinéart recently partnered for the Benelux release of Sofia Coppola's latest film, Priscilla, which has grossed over 1 million dollars at the box office to date.

Founded in 1975 by Eliane Dubois and with offices in Amsterdam and Brussels, Cinéart has distributed many prestigious independent films, including Slumdog Millionaire, The Artist, Amour, I, Daniel Blake, The Worst Person in the World, The Whale, The Zone of Interest, and many others.

Following the acquisition, there will be no changes to Cinéart's management team, and the company will continue its current operations.

MUBI founder and CEO Efe Çakarel stated, "I have known and worked with Cinéart executives Marc and Stephan for over 15 years. I admire what they have done at Cinéart. They are among the most valuable and visionary executives in this industry. We are very happy to have partnered with Cinéart."
