MUBI's January selection has been announced

Master director Aki Kaurismäki’s 2023 Cannes Jury Prize-winning love story Fallen Leaves, award-winning film 'Monster' by one of Japanese cinema's prominent directors Hirokazu Koreeda, and 'Days of Love, Fire and Anarchy: The Turkish Cinematheque and Onat', which will be screened in memory of Onat Kutlar, will be released on MUBI.

Among the standout films of the January selection are; 'Behind Open Doors' by Alpgiray Uğurlu, which offers a unique perspective on the subject of leaving Turkey and was featured in the National Competition section at the 30th Adana Golden Boll Film Festival; Sofia Coppola’s 'The Virgin Suicides', adapted from the Pulitzer Prize-winning author Jeffrey Eugenides’ novel; 'Following', the debut independent film by Christopher Nolan shot on a low budget; and the 2021 production 'Parallel Mothers', which sheds light on the dark pages of Spanish history through the story of two women who give birth on the same day and reunites Pedro Almodóvar with Penélope Cruz.
