Call to Erdoğan regarding Sinan Ateş: She recalled his words from the AKP anniversary speech

Selma Ateş, the sister of Sinan Ateş, issued a call to Erdoğan regarding Sinan Ateş in a post she shared on social media.

Sinan Ateş's sister Selma Ateş shared a post on social media. In her post, Selma Ateş stated that after her brother Sinan Ateş left his post as Chairman of the Idealist Hearths (Ülkü Ocakları), he was targeted across the country by baseless rumors.

Selma Ateş stated that an article titled "A Fire of Betrayal" published on a website called Orhun Haber on March 4, 2022, was part of a smear campaign against Sinan Ateş based on claims without evidence. 

During this process, she emphasized that her brother received threatening messages following an incident in Mersin and that he had applied to judicial authorities, but that sufficient measures were not taken.

Stating that the attack on her brother on December 30, 2022, was planned and organized, Selma Ateş noted that after Sinan Ateş's death, the same psychological attacks continued against those seeking justice for him. She said that Sinan Ateş was left defenseless through slander, fake accounts, and immoral statements made on social media. Furthermore, she expressed that the insults and attacks on personal rights, particularly those directed at women during this process, were unacceptable.

SHE RECALLED ERDOĞAN'S WORDS

Selma Ateş stated that they have been fighting for justice to be served since her brother was murdered and that she has full faith that the state will show the necessary reflex in this matter. Recalling President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's words, "every crime that goes unpunished makes the perpetrator even more brazen," Ateş said they expect justice to be served so that new Sinans are not murdered in the middle of the street.

Wishing mercy for her brother on Sinan Ateş's birthday, Selma Ateş concluded her post with the words, "Happy birthday Sinan Ateş, I am glad you were my brother."
