CHP Ankara Provincial Chair explains: What was discussed in the Özel-Kılıçdaroğlu meeting?

Republican People's Party (CHP) Chairman Özgür Özel held a meeting with former Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu last night. Ankara Metropolitan Mayor Mansur Yavaş and CHP Ankara Provincial Chair Ümit Erkol also attended the meeting.
In a post on his social media account, Özgür Özel stated, "Hosted by our Ankara Metropolitan Mayor Mansur Yavaş, we met with our former Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu for dinner and listened to his suggestions regarding the changes we will make to our party charter."

HELD AT ÖZGÜR ÖZEL'S INVITATION
CHP Ankara Provincial Chair Ümit Erkol stated in his remarks that the meeting took place at the invitation of Özgür Özel. Erkol said that Özel wanted to hold meetings with former chairmen regarding charter amendments and that this meeting with Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu was held within that framework.
Erkol noted that Özgür Özel gave a detailed presentation on the charter amendments during the meeting, and that Kılıçdaroğlu asked questions from time to time to clarify the subject further.
AMENDMENTS TO BE PRESENTED TO THE PARTY ASSEMBLY
CHP Ankara Provincial Chair Ümit Erkol stated that the charter amendments are being updated rapidly and that the changes will be presented to both the Party Assembly and the Parliamentary Group. He said that the changes were also provided to Kılıçdaroğlu in writing and that the revised version would also be forwarded to him.
THE MEETING WAS POSITIVE
Erkol stated that the meeting went well and that both parties were satisfied with the discussion, adding that such meetings could be repeated.
It was decided to remain in contact with Kılıçdaroğlu regarding the changes to be made to the draft charter in line with the suggestions coming from the Party Assembly, the TBMM (Grand National Assembly of Turkey) Group meeting, and the Ankara Provincial Advisory Board.
Özgür Özel asked Kılıçdaroğlu if he had any new suggestions, noting that the charter amendments he had promised during his chairmanship were included in the draft text. Kılıçdaroğlu stated that he had no new suggestions and would provide feedback after seeing the final version of the draft.
