CHP leader Özel speaks in Eskişehir: Turkey's EU process will begin under a CHP government

CHP Chairman Özgür Özel made important statements during his visit to Eskişehir. First, Özel visited the CHP Eskişehir Provincial Headquarters, and then proceeded to the Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality.

WE ARE AGAINST STATE TERROR

Evaluating the current agenda there, Özgür Özel criticized the assassination of Hamas Political Bureau Chief Ismail Haniyeh at his residence in Tehran, the capital of Iran, and Israel's attacks on Palestine. Stating that those who applauded Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in America are partners in this massacre, Özel said, “We feel sorrow wherever there is violence and death. We are against the state terror that Israel is inflicting on Palestine. However, the attacks launched by Hamas in October also saddened us all. Innocent people died, and in response, 40 thousand people have been killed. Those who applauded Netanyahu in America are partners in this massacre. The killing of the Hamas leader is also an act of violence and a murder. Every drop of blood shed and every tear breaks our hearts.”

TURKEY'S PROBLEMS WILL BE SOLVED UNDER A CHP GOVERNMENT

Demanding early elections, Özgür Özel stated, “I did not say I would not ask for early elections; I said I would not ask for them by using this election result as an excuse. This election is not happening because the AK Party is not inclined toward the demand for early elections. However, legitimate conditions for early elections have now emerged, and people want early elections. As the CHP, we support this. If there is an early election, the European Union process will begin, democracy will develop, and large loans and funds will come to Turkey.”

Expressing his desire to be in power and his impatience for early elections, Özel said, “The demand for early elections should not be managed by the opposition, but by the government. The sooner the election, the sooner the CHP will come to power and Turkey's problems will be solved.”
