The handover ceremony for the Presidency of the Republican People's Party Women's Branches was held at the CHP Headquarters. CHP Osmaniye Deputy Asu Kaya, who was elected as the CHP Women's Branches President, took over the duty from the previous CHP Women's Branches President and current Deputy Chairperson, Aylin Nazlıaka.
Speaking at the handover ceremony, Aylin Nazlıaka stated that they set out 4 years ago with the principle of 'quotas are too narrow for us, our route is power' and that they fought a tough struggle for equal representation. Reminding that they went through many elections while she was the President of the Women's Branches, Nazlıaka also thanked the former CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu for the importance he gave to the Women's Branches during these processes.
Stating that Aylin Nazlıaka has served the Women's Branches extensively, the new President of the CHP Women's Branches, Asu Kaya, used the following expressions:
"What falls to us is to continue this solidarity and movement together with you and our other previous term presidents, and with your experiences, to spread it all over Anatolia, to Kars, Ardahan, Bitlis, Elazığ, and to every corner, just as you did. Our goal is to make it even more widespread, to make it more visible in the field, and perhaps to voice the work put forth by our women's organizations in 81 provinces in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey by holding press statements in places like Elazığ, and to announce it to the entire Turkish public."
