Kılıçdaroğlu comments on Akşener-Erdoğan photo: 'I am not surprised, we can see betrayal in these lands'

Former CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu spoke to Kısa Dalga. Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who continues to be one of the most talked-about figures in politics after losing the presidential and CHP chairmanship elections, is stated to be maintaining a busy schedule of meetings at his office in Ankara Barış Sitesi.

 Kılıçdaroğlu stated that he meets with people from different segments of society, writes articles at home in the mornings, and reads books.

Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu expressed that he has found more opportunities to read and write in his life after the chairmanship, and that he has been holding in-depth meetings, especially on subjects such as philosophy, sociology, and history.

'WE SHOULD HAVE TAKEN THE EDITED VIDEOS SERIOUSLY'

Making self-criticisms regarding the 2023 presidential election process, Kılıçdaroğlu stated that one of the most important reasons for the election defeat was not taking the edited videos prepared by Erdoğan and his supporters seriously. Stating that these fake videos were particularly effective in the rural areas of Central Anatolia and the Black Sea, Kılıçdaroğlu said that the decay spreading in society deepened further because this situation was not questioned.

RESPONSE TO ADVISOR CRITICISMS

Kılıçdaroğlu also spoke about his advisors, who were a subject of debate after the election. Expressing that the criticisms were largely prejudiced, Kılıçdaroğlu stated that the advisors consisted of two groups.

He emphasized that the first group consisted of permanent advisors from public institutions, and the second group consisted of people working voluntarily. He argued that the main purpose of blaming these volunteers was to wear him down.

ON MERAL AKŞENER'S PHOTO AT THE PALACE: 'I AM NOT SURPRISED'

Sharing his views on former IYI Party Chairman Meral Akşener's photo at the Külliye, Kılıçdaroğlu said he was not surprised by this situation. Although the six leaders had agreed on a joint memorandum of understanding, he evaluated Akşener's appearance at the Palace as a reflection of the betrayal experienced in Turkish politics.

THE FUTURE OF THE CHP

Speaking about internal CHP politics and the possibility of running for chairman again, Kılıçdaroğlu said he is not interested in active politics and drew attention to the expectations for charter changes within the party. Stating that he will continue the struggle, Kılıçdaroğlu emphasized that a struggle must be waged under the leadership of the CHP against the one-man rule in Turkey.
