Müsavat Dervişoğlu: 'Politics must be renewed'

İYİ Party Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu met with newspaper and television representatives in Ankara and made important statements regarding the current agenda. 

Drawing attention to the economic and social difficulties Turkey has experienced over the last 22 years, Dervişoğlu emphasized that this process has opened deep wounds in fundamental areas such as agriculture, industry, education, and justice.

'OUR PRODUCTION CAPACITY HAS TAKEN A HIT'

Stating that the country's production capacity has been seriously damaged, Dervişoğlu said, “Our youth have lost their hope for the future. Many institutions, primarily those responsible for justice and statistics, have lost credibility. Every segment of society feels this degeneration deeply. However, this process also reveals the reality that Turkey is compelled to undergo a renewal.”

POLITICS MUST CHANGE

Emphasizing that politics must also change, Dervişoğlu stated, "As the world changes and as people change, it is inevitable that politics must change as well. It is not possible to build a country's future with old political understandings and populist rhetoric."

Dervişoğlu emphasized that politics must listen more to the demands of the youth and the needs of the public, stating that social peace, justice, and prosperity can only be achieved if the political institution renews itself. Dervişoğlu said, "Our effort is to bring a new perspective and a new breath to politics."

CENTRIST POLITICS MUST BE REBUILT

Renewing his previous call for "centrist politics," Dervişoğlu stated that centrist politics is the voice of what is reasonable for society, common sense, and sound judgment. He said that politics must be rebuilt with an understanding that is unifying and inclusive, rather than polarizing.

"I am addressing not only political parties but also the Turkish nation. Turkey's future must be reshaped with inclusive politics. We are here for this mission, and we will succeed," he said.
