Özgür Özel to visit the US at the same time as Erdoğan

CHP Chairman Özgür Özel, following his election as Vice President of the Socialist International, is traveling to the US to attend the Socialist International meeting to be held in New York on Wednesday, September 25.

Özel will depart from Istanbul on September 24.

Özel will be accompanied on this visit by a CHP delegation consisting of Secretary General Selin Sayek Böke, Youth Branch Chairman Gençosman Killik, Deputy Chairman responsible for Foreign Affairs İlhan Uzgel, and Istanbul Deputy Namık Tan.

HE WILL PRESENT THE ANKARA DECLARATION

It was stated that during the meeting, Özgür Özel will read the Ankara Declaration, which was drafted on the final day of the "Second Century Change Convention" held in Ankara between September 4-8. Özel is also expected to deliver a message of peace regarding the war that has been ongoing in Palestine since October 7 before the representatives of many European countries who will be present at the meeting.

ERDOĞAN AND ÖZEL WILL BE IN NEW YORK AT THE SAME TIME

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is also expected to travel to the US on the same dates, on September 21, to attend the United Nations (UN) General Assembly and deliver a speech from the UN podium on September 24. It was noted that Erdoğan will continue his contacts in the US until September 26.

It was reported that Özgür Özel will hold various bilateral meetings during his US visit and will return to Turkey on September 26.
